at WATER and by telephone
Our next gathering for Contemplative Prayer at WATER will be with Cynthia Tootle on Monday, April 11, 2016, at 7:30 PM (ET). We will send an image to all who register for use during the meditation.
Cynthia Lea Tootle is an Interfaith Minister graduating from All Faiths Seminary International and is an associate minister of the Takoma Metaphysical Chapel. She leads monthly circles that honor the Goddess in innovative rituals that respect the traditions from which each Goddess comes and the sensibilities of the modern woman. She is the author of Dialogue with the Goddess and co-editor of Prosperity Stories: Testimonies of Divinity in Everyday Life.
WATER offers a contemplative prayer opportunity each month. This is a communal meditation that welcomes everyone. You are invited to join the wide circle by phone or in the WATER office in Silver Spring, Maryland. We gather around a presented theme. There is a time of silence and reflection followed by optional sharing.
Once you register, you will be sent a dial-in number to call in. Your usual standard phone rates apply.
For those who come to the office, WATER will be open at 7 PM (EST) for tea and conversation. Silence will commence promptly at 7:30 PM so please be here by then. We will conclude by 8:30 PM. Parking is free in the garage behind the office after 7 PM. The front door of the building has a phone entry system; find “WATER” and dial the office to be buzzed in, or dial 0310. For more information on how to get here by car or public transit visit WATER’s website.
All are welcome. Some of us have been involved in the Engaging Impasse process (www.engagingimpasse.org), which combines meditation with community dialogue. No experience is required; just come with a contemplative spirit. Your presence will enrich us all. Donations are always welcome.
Save the date for next month’s meditation: May 9 with Janet Bohren.
Email Elizabeth Hardt at waterstaff@hers.com if you have any trouble registering or need more information. Thank you!
